Dianechef 3 Posted August 21, 2006 What's up with the tickers? Mine isn't working & I am noticing that I can't see anyone else's tickers. Anyone know? :rolleyes
PhotoNut 7 Posted August 21, 2006 I can see yours, Diane. You can't see mine?
DrewsLou 3 Posted August 21, 2006 I see your ticker.......
Wheetsin 714 Posted August 21, 2006 I can see yours. Haven't noticed problems w/ any others. But the tickers link directly from tickerfactory.com, and aren't stored locally here, so if there's something wrong it's probably on their end. If they "disappear" for a while, probably a server down for a bit or something.
Dianechef 3 Posted August 21, 2006 WOW!! I don't see any of your tickers at all. There's just a small little box with an X in it on the left corner where it's supposed to be. I'm confused!!!
Dianechef 3 Posted August 21, 2006 I just tried to go to Ticker Facotry & this notice came up: Norton Anti-virus has blocked access to this restricted sight.
Wheetsin 714 Posted August 21, 2006 Any chance you're using a different browser or computer than normal, or that you would have done anything to change your internet settings? Right click on a ticker and copy what it says next to "Address: (URL)." Enter that into your browser's address bar, and see if you can view the item directly. If not, and others can see the same ticker, it's probably something local to you.
Alexandra 55 Posted August 21, 2006 So the problem is with your own computer's settings. Are you at work?
Dianechef 3 Posted August 21, 2006 I'm at home on the same computer I always use. I am thinkin' my husband may have installed a new virus protection & somehow it's messing up some stuff on my computer. I'll have my husband check it out. Thanks for all the responses. At least I know the problem is on my side.
Tricia K. 0 Posted August 21, 2006 You may want to check your Advanced settings under Tools/Internet Options. If your husband installed new anti-virus software, sometimes they change the defaults.
