I can't wait til the day I can go to a movie theater and not have to wedge in sideways! I can't wait to have any choice of Halloween costume I want (sexy French maid?) instead of having to be a pumpkin or witch. What is it you can't wait for?

I can't wait to run a 5K without falling out & can't wait to lay on the tanning bed without getting racing stripes down my sides.

I can't wait for my husband to be able to pick me up. That is what I want my GOAL pic to be; my hubby holding me in his arms like a rescued princess

I totally understand. I told Ken, my fiance, that we couldn't actually set a date to get married until he was able to carry me over the threshold. He says he could do that now and I let him know that carrying me slung over his shoulder fireman style doesn't count. lol

Tibbie, this is such a good one. I love to fish! Now that I know that you can buy PINK waders, I guess I'll be getting some (when I get to goal). And my hubby has wanted to take me to Colorado ever since we have been married. I just might agree to go when I don't think I will smother to death trying to climb up the side of a mountain.

Oooh, a friend of mine is building me a fishing rod in my favorite color (green). I'll have to buy some matching waders. Then, he'll have to teach me to fish! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
