So I've lost 41 lbs since my surgery about a month ago. Yay! But my clothes don't feel different at ALL! Major bummer. So how much weight did you have to lose before you started to notice your clothing gettting loose?

From what I have seen the larger sizes lasted a lot longer than the smaller sizes. Initially it took awhile before the clothes started to fall off because my clothes were tight to begin with. Once I got down into a 12 I was changing sizes every 10-15 lbs.

Seriously 40-45lbs! (to go from a 22 to 20. But after that I changed sizes very frequently..... I went straight from an 18 to a 14 then to a 12 a month later. :-)

When I had my band I had to lose 50 - 60 lbs before I dropped my first size. From there, it was about a size every 20 lbs or so. I never got "thin" so this held true to my lowest size. It would have eventually sped up.

I've dropped about a size and a half now, and am down about 50 lbs. (Jeans I wore snugly the day before surgery I can now pull off without undoing button/zipper). My weightloss has been so stalled that it's ridiculous (5+ weeks of 8ish weeks banded). My clothes haven't changed in that time, this was all pre-stall.

I have lost 50 pounds since my highest weight. I'm still in my 18-20's however I must admit they were tight on me, and now they are really loose on me. I do have a bunch of size 16's but they are not plus size, so I think it will take me 20 more pounds before they fit me. I'm sure I could fit into a 16 from lane Bryant, but I'm not gonna go buy anything, and I'm trying to swear off the plus size clothes.

I have seen 10 dress sizes go away and I have lost 80+ lbs. BUT I was very triangular shaped, almost retangle, so alot of it has been directly off my waist and such.

Depending on where you lose it will determine sizes...but I have noticed that people who say this may not realize how much they have lost in thier face, or thighs, or lower hips, etc.

I was wearing 22 pants. not tight but fitting. It took 40lbs for them to all of sudden over night falling off me. Went to buy one new pair of jeans and fit into a 18 tight so I bought them. Took 8-10 lbs for them not to be tight but NOT falling off yet. I did buy a pair of 16's also at the time as they were on sale buy 1 get one 1/2 off. I haven't tried them on yet as my 18s are still fitting I might be able to get them on but they will be tight I am sure. When my pants started to fall off me I was in a stall. I was not loosing anymore but all of a sudden everything was swimming on me.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
