SicChl 16 Posted May 21, 2012 I really need some motivation.... All I have are excuses of why I don't or can't go to the gym. I have a brand new workout facility at my work, and a $100+ membership to a super nice gym around my house.... WHY in the world can't I go? massindex 346 Posted May 21, 2012 It's called fear. Start with small goals. Go to the treadmill, set it on low speed and start walking. Take some Water with you and put one foot in front of the other. Set a goal to walk 1 mile, then 2 miles, etc. Set yourself a goal like doing a 5K 6 months from now. Not necessarily running it but completing it. Remember, it's a journey and the motivation comes from within. You will look and feel better about yourself. chitowngirl 886 Posted May 21, 2012 I feel ya... The gym is kinda boring. Have you tried walking outside. I've personally started bike riding. Take advantage of the weather, also it helps if you plan it with someone. So plan a walk with a friend, spouse or sibling.
