allmee 4 Posted May 21, 2012 Has anyone tried a trampoline? I am 2 months out and just found my back pain, numbness in both legs is due to issues with my L4, L5 and two things protuding from my spine. Excercise is hard and walking on days with the numbness is bad. It was suggested I try a trampoline by the PA at my doctors office. I was just wondering if anyone tried it before. sabstar22 25 Posted May 21, 2012 A trampoline? For back problems? That just seems it would make it hurt worse, especially being in your lumbar region, and if you fall or mis step..... Did they say why they would recommend that? 1 BKMama reacted to this
allmee 4 Posted May 21, 2012 She said it's less jarring on the body, but unsure. I just know I have to do something to move around.

sabstar22 25 Posted May 21, 2012 I am working at an ortho office next week, I'll try to remember to talk to some of the doctors there, and see if they recommend that and or anything else.
vsglosingit 11 Posted May 22, 2012 You need to see a Neurosurgeon about your back. Hopefully you have had a MRI done. Then get a good Neurosurgeon to explain your anatomy and go over the MRI films with you and give you different options of treatment. Personally IMO I would not get on a trampoline with back problems like you describe. Maybe work out in a pool, or physical therapy but with the numbness.....I would be talking to a Neurosurgeon (not an Orthopedist or "Spine specialist") Hopefully you get some relief soon.
