I'm 2.5 months post op and I remember feeling the same way. It gets better. I still get pains if I don't eat enough, eat to much or don't chew enough. It's all a learning process. I think of my sleeve as a new born baby's tummy. When you think about it we go through the same process and it's going to take awhile to figure out how to work it. I was actually a little paranoid my first month you couldn't tell me I didn't have a leak but after my leak test and talking with my doctor I started to realize there are going to be some uncomfortable moments. Just take it a day at a time and it gets better. My doc says if something doesn't feel right take a break and try again later but don't push it. Good luck

I am 2 months out and got the lucky sliming ordeal, I get the hurt feeling sometimes in my chest too, it feels like it won't go down or come back up, this is followed by uncontrollable clear mucus coming out. My Dr said it is normal in some people. Lucky me???

Yes i just recently experienced that disgusting. It usually occurs if I eat to much and i end up vomiting. I'm learning not to push myself bad habit from being being an overeater even when I'm full my brain tells me yes. But the vomiting is definite a great way to deter overeating lol. Right now chicken is not my friend and i get slime every time i eat it yuck!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
