Supposed To Start Liquids Tuesday, I Want To Wait Until Wed.

We have had a death in the family, family coming in from out of town, travelling to do, etc.

I feel like I would get off to a much better start for 2 week liquid pre-op diet if I start it Wed. instead of Tues, can one day be that big of a deal? Did any of you start it a day late? Thanks!

I understand why you want to wait, and I think your surgeon would as well. If you're going to delay the start by a day, try to eat as clean as you can. Avoid high fat, high carb and sugary foods.

I don't really see any harm in it, I would just try not to fall into the "Last Meal Syndrome" and eat like crazy on Monday and Tuesday.
