pinkiguana 12 Posted May 20, 2012 I am 4 weeks post surgery this tuesday and I just had 4 oz of mush (Chef Boyardee-great option for mush). I didn't eat the whole can of food, but I feel I could have. I couldn't have stretched my stomach this early, and besides, I barely take anything but liquids in. Has this happened to anyone else? monki 14 Posted May 20, 2012 When I have more liquid type foods, I seem to be able to eat more that when I eat more solid type foods. My understanding is that our stomachs are swollen for the first several weeks. Around week 4 or 5 our bellies are about where they will be. One thing I was told not to do is to pick up over 20 or strain for at least 6 weeks. Both of these things will help to stretch our stomachs. Don't be to alarmed at eating more than you have been. Just make sure you listen to your triggers of fullness and continue to eat slow.
MeMeMEEE 206 Posted May 20, 2012 Softer foods are sliders - once you are on solids it will be much less!
