MrzSongbird 53 Posted May 20, 2012 Does anyone still have to take their high blood pressure meds after surgery?
Spatters3 315 Posted May 20, 2012 I am. My PCP changed them from Bisoprolol/HCG to just the Bisoprolol (the HCG is a diuretic and when I told him about the horrible leg cramps I was getting every night, he suggested that it may be the diuretic that was causing it... he was right) . I took myself off the biso last for a few days and my BP was 135/87 but I woke up one night and my heart was beating fast and it kind of scared me so I started taking it again. But... just a couple of days ago my BP was 102/67 and I have been feeling really lethargic & fatigued. I dunno... I suppose I should talk to my doctor again :-)
vampsy 29 Posted May 20, 2012 I still take my bp meds. I am currently 3 months out. Saw my pcp last week and after a 52 weight loss he was surprised that not only did my blood pressure not go down, but he now needed to add a beta blocker for rapid heart rate.
