Ready2BDone 7 Posted May 20, 2012 I know I have posted about this before...but I am a little worried. Every single morning when I wake up I am dry heaving. I talked to my surgeon about it and he thinks that I just need to eat more. Everyone tells me this but it's really hard for me to eat because I feel nauseous. Sometimes when I dry heave I al bringing up yellow liquid. Anyone have advice? Please???
Jenn31MA 149 Posted May 20, 2012 Well i haven't been sleeved yet but the yellow liquid is just bile because you have nothing in your stomach. You could be feeling nauseous because you aren't eating enough. How long are you going between eating and how many calories are you getting in a day? Another weird question but you aren't pregnant are you?? Hope this all works out for you sooner than later!
Lissa 2,631 Posted May 20, 2012 Carrie, When were you sleeved?

Lissa 2,631 Posted May 20, 2012 I think you need to call your doctor and insist on a physical exam. Throwing up bile is not normal.
Ready2BDone 7 Posted May 20, 2012 I am barely getting any food in and most people are saying that is why I am doing that. I guess I'm scared of eating and the food not agreeing with me.
ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted May 20, 2012 when I wake up I am dry heaving. Hi Carrie The dry heaves are no fun. I had them for awhile a few weeks post surgery. I even ended up going to the hospital cuz i was dehydrated, not drinking or eating enough. Couldn't hold stuff down. When i was nautious after the fact, my dr. recommended Zofran - it helped me alot. So for a while I was taking Zofran before i ate anything, and yes first thing in the morning too. it calmed things down alot. feel better kathy
