Three Day Yogurt Diet

Recommended Posts

I started Dr. Pronces three day yogurt diet this morning. I have learned that plain yogurt is nasty. Does anyone have any ideas to make this stuff more palatable. I asked Trish and she said needs to be plain. no fruit.< /p>

Are you allowed to use the sugar free Torani or DaVinci syrups? Both are sold at Walmart and the small bottles are fairly cheap. A tiny bit would go a long way to flavoring your yogurt.

Splenda and pumpkin pie spice is pretty good.

What about nuts and seeds? They are sugar-free and add good fats. I'm also doing the no sugar thing now and I've been throwing a handful of trail mix in my yogurt overnight (with fruit in it, but of course you can skip that). The nuts soften up a bit in the yogurt overnight and it provides some nice variety and texture.

Lissa - you're the best! I was just going to look into the Torani Syrup and order the big bottles which would have last me 30 years probably!! I'm so glad to hear they sell small ones!!! Where in Walmart would I find them?

Joni, Look in the coffee flavorings or over by the drink mixes (tea, mio drops, crystal light). I've found them in both places before.

I want you to know what to expect so im laying it all out, My sleeve sister agreed, the meds just barely took the edge off, You will love the hotel and staff, Overall i am so glad i did this, Today is day 3 post op. ive thought about food but it doesnt really bother me, Im good with my juice and broth, The broth at the hotel is AWESOME!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
