carbgrl 119 Posted May 20, 2012 This is taking forEVER. Ugh! I'm losing about a pound a week. Yes, at least it's steady but, at this rate, it'll take me another 6 mos to get to goal. I'm walking at least an hour a day sometimes up to 2 and eating an average of 800 cals, very low carb. I'm thinking about going back to the liquid diet but it's so hard to stick to when you don't have to like fixing to go under the knife have to. Any suggestions? MyGastricSleeveLife 180 Posted May 20, 2012 If you're walking that much, you might have to actually increase your calories by 100 - 200 calories. Talk to your doctor or dietitian about it. Sometimes they don't want you to increase calories, but sometimes they do depending on activity level because your body could just be holding onto whatever you have. One lady on my surgeon's support group said she was having a hard time and the surgeon told her to go up a little for a day & then back down, like do one day at 800 & one day at 900 and back and forth like that & it worked for her. You might need to play with calories a little to find the right mix for you.
