Hi All!

Sleeved: April 24,2012

Starting weight: 232

After pre op diet: 213

Current weight: 195

Just had my 1 month post op appt on May 24th.

My NUT and my Doctor were VERY happy with me

I have gone from a 16 to 12.

My scrubs from XL to Med.

I hit a mean stall at week 2, but you know ....

That is when I lost most of my inches!!

My Doctor just chuckled when I told him that, he said, yes that will happen. My NUT said this next month will be when I really start dropping major pounds. I was like, OMG, really??!!

It's all about Protein and exercise

Lets go Sleevers, let's Go!!

( thought a cheer might help) LOL

Surgery April 18

I seem to be losing slowly and also feel like I can eat more than others and have no idea what size my sleeve is. I didn't even know to ask about bougie size before surgery and have not seen my surgeon yet to ask him. My two week visit was with his PA and she couldn't tell me. My six week visit will be with him, so I can ask him exactly how big my sleeve is, but I was able to eat 6 oz. of thin yogurt with no problem in my second week and today I can eat about a cup of turkey chili and a 1/2 cup of dense Protein and I'm only 5 weeks out. I know we are just supposed to be giving our stats here but I'm kind of worried.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
