I probably wouldn't. My book says 9 weeks for things such as nuts and higher Fiber foods. I was probably 7 months out when I first had it.

Its hard not to- but dont do it.

My NUT says its super dangerous to eat popcorn the first 6 months (gets stuck) and its a slider food with no real nutritional value to you at this point.

It's definitely a slider food! 3 weeks out is way too soon, most people are still just eating mushies/purees at that point. Think about how hard those hulls would be on your newly-healing staple line. I didn't have popcorn until close to 6 months after surgery, and even now it's a very rare treat because it is one of the true sliders for me.

I will have 1-1/2-2 weeks of Clear Liquids and then third week through 5 or 6 it will be Full liquids then pureed, Soft, etc. I was told expect close to 2 months before eating actual solid foods. I would imagine popcorn kernels and hulls would be extremely hard on the belly.

Lord have mercy, no. The next time you cut or scrape yourself, grind some popped popcorn into the wound. Now, just imagine a staple line with stomach acid. Ummm, yummy.

Just in case you need one more "no" vote, I'm in. Don't eat the popcorn.< /p>

I concur with the others. My concern would be the kernels. You know how they get in your teeth, imagine it getting in your wound.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
