I hit a stall at 3 weeks and at 6 weeks and I'm sick of it. It's making me feel like all the exercise and lack of eating has been for nothing. Even my measurements are stalled. Very disheartened.

I've been stalled from wk 3 - now, so about 5 weeks solid.

I just keep trying to recite the mantra, "It's temporary." I just posted on the difference between what my logical brain knows, and what my emotional brain feels. They are so out of sync.

I know it's temporary but I feel like I can never get ahead. Lose a pound, stall for 3 weeks, lose a pound, stall again. I just want to lose now without stalling and I can't. I don't know what's up with my body.

Here's the bright side - at least you're seeing some progress between weeks. ;)

Maybe post a few days' worth of average menu for someone to review?

I'm on my fitness pal and my doc looked at it and said I was doing good. I think maybe I need more Calcium in my diet. It's low.

I too am a staller and slow loser. It's what it is. I'm staying off the scale more which is a good thing. I'm only in week 3 postop, but I've been the same weight for over a week. All I know is it IS going to come off - even if it takes forever and a day! Relax and just go with the journey.

I'll be 7 weeks out Monday and I've spent most of this journey stalled.

I'm running out of ideas. What is it we can do to help? Or do you just need to vent? :) (In which case we can listen)

I'm venting. If my doctor can't help I'm not sure anyone can. I'm doing exactly what I was told to do. Can having low Vitamin D cause you to stall.

Yes, it can. Are you taking a multi Vitamin? Or have you had any labs done that show a deficiency? (Most people have some degree of Vitamin D deficiency).

My NUT reviewed my fitnesspal logs and told me to eat more calories (which was not a surprise) and more carbs (which was - especially since she was suggesting some simple carbs). I've tried this morning by replacing my standard heavy Protein Breakfast with some fruit, grains, and Greek yogurt. I'e done this stuff for a long time and lost a lot of weight doing it, and low carb was a lot of my success, so I was surprised to hear things like "crackers" being suggested as defecits in my diet.

She also told me my Protein intake is good as a rule, but for my height I need more. I've never heard of it being height-based before. Are you getting your protein in, and are you maybe on the tall side? :)

How much B12 are you taking?

I'm 4'9 my NUT said 60 to 80 grams of Protein and I get it all in. Labs before surgery showed low parathyroid doc won't take lab til 6 months out. I take thousand B12 a day and yes i take Multivitamin. I'm just flusterd.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
