So every Thursday night I weigh in. My SIL is a RN and she does the weighing/taping.

This is my 3rd weigh in post op (tomorrow is my one month anniversary) and I only lost 1.2 lbs this week and .25 inch. Now I am expecting my period, (sorry guys), but has anyone else had this kind of a stall happen so quickly?

I've been in a stall & my NUT said that it was normal & that there will be more stalls. I'm 3 1/2 weeks out.

Most have had that dreaded stall. I have come to expect it monthly. Right around the time that aunt flow shows up. And since I gain 10 pounds when she arrives it throws me totally off my game. I promise. You will have a significant drop when the stall is over. The week my stall ended I dropped 6 lbs in like 2 days. Keep drinking your water...even when you feel like you are drowning and keep eating your Protein.< /p>

Oh yes. I stalled at three weeks and it lasted for SIX WEEKS! Yuck!! It was frustrating, but just keep doing all the right things and you will keep losing.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
