I am 4 weeks post gastric sleeve. I have followed my physicians plan and instructions and have healed, and am eating soft diet still. I am trying to get 48 fl. oz. of Water each day, but am having a difficult time. I was 236 lbs. pre-surgery and have lost 21 lbs. I am experiencing low blood pressure, 96/54, which simply exhausts me. I am taking all my Vitamins, and am getting 50 -50 grams of protien per day. Has any one else experienced low blood pressure and a lower heart rate? If so, how long do I expect this to go on, or is there anything I can do to about it? It is affecting my performance at work.

Do you take blood pressure medicine. Sometimes weight loss will directly affect your BP. If you are on meds, you need to see the MD who prescribed them. They may need to be adjusted. If no BP meds, you could be getting dehydrated. Low volume means low BP and your heart rate may go up. If it continues, you should see your doc or go to the ER...K

Not on any meds. Never have had low or high blood pressure. A friend of mine suggested dehydration also. I am trying to get more Water in. Thanks!

lisath, Once you're actually dehydrated, it's REALLY hard to rehydrate yourself. I suggest calling your doctor and either going into the office or the ER for an IV of fluids. It will make you feel tremendously better almost immediately. Then your mission will be to keep yourself hydrated. :)

I did shortly after surgery. It was not fun. Sounds like you are dehydrated be careful. Drink your Water. Mine lasted a couple weeks then got better. I was dizzy when standing too.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
