kccgm 7 Posted May 17, 2012 Obviously I am not going to be the person who is doing a 5k a week out but I did finally keep some injury chicken broth down, took a walk and piddled in the kitchen and for me - now I am exhausted! No matter the person, our recovery will vary so remember to keep your sights on what your recovery is not what it is not! MyGastricSleeveLife 180 Posted May 17, 2012 Everyone is different for sure. I had my surgery on Monday too & I'm feeling great. I'm still in no way ready to go out and tackle errands or anything like that, but I'm feeling much better than I thought I would be at this point. It takes me all day, but I'm getting in my Protein. I had 53 grams yesterday & will probably hit the goal of 70 grams today or tomorrow. Each day out from surgery gets better & I'm off my diabetes meds already & my blood sugars are great! This is the best thing I've ever done for myself!! Everyone is different & you just have to give your body time to heal & listen to it, but be confident that eventually you'll get all your energy back plus more as you lose more weight! Just relax & give it time.
