FishingNurse 1,211 Posted May 17, 2012 Sleevers in maintenance….. Any tips? This is the oddest place I have ever been. Not trying to lose weight (or knowing I need to try but am not trying) is a very odd place mentally. I am nervous about it. I have given myself the number of 170 pounds… If I go back above that EVER I need to alter what I am doing to get back to the 160’s again. Is that how maintenance works?? I need help from others in maintenance! Tips, stories, anything? Thanks!!!
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted May 17, 2012 I am not at my personal goal yet, but am with my Surgeon's goal. I do admire how you have reached your goal and also am worried about myself being at goal and letting my guard down, and then the weight gain begins. So for me, I suspect I will always have to watch what I'm eating. I'm also going to weight myself 2 times a week at least. I am curious to know how others are with maintenance. Sleeve of Steel, you have done a great job and CONGRATS! You are very successful and will continue to be successful with maintenance. 1 FishingNurse reacted to this
Foxbins 625 Posted May 17, 2012 I'm 16 months post-op. I am 4 lbs under my weight "limit"--I have promised myself I will not weigh more than 140. I weigh myself every day and although I eat anything I want, mostly I want Protein, which helps! If I hit 139, I cut back a bit on calories and take more frequent walks. It's kind of a balancing act, but one I have seen my skinny friends do for years. Now it's my turn. 2 FishingNurse and sylviajara reacted to this
