girlfriday 59 Posted May 16, 2012 I have contemplated having the surgery for 3.5 years. I kept telling myself that I could lose weight on my own and didn't need to spend a small fortune to have the procedure done. Well, 30 lbs heavier I have decided enough is enough. I go to the seminar on May 31. I will be a self payer, my insurance doesn't cover the surgery. I hope to have surgery the first week of July. I am feeling more confident everyday about it and the fact that I am paying for it bothers me less and less. My quality of life has to get better. 1 sdb1147 reacted to this

sdb1147 54 Posted May 16, 2012 Congratulations on a great move. I, like you, decided enough is enough. I want to get back my high school weight. Well, that may be pushing it a bit, but I'm certainly tired of all this extra baggage I've been carrying around for to long. I get to meet my doctor & his team at Swedish Hospital tomorrow. Lissa 2,631 Posted May 16, 2012 You're going to be SO happy you did this! I was self-pay as well and I'd do it all over again, even if it was double the price! I feel like a new person! Good luck!! 2 sdb1147 and weight_no_longer reacted to this
Candyman 38 Posted May 16, 2012 If money is an issue, think about having it done in Mexico. As low as $4,500 There are a lot of people hear that went that way. With all my research I have done, I feel you get better and safer out come in Mexico. The one thing you will still need is a support team back at home. As in your PCP and a Nut.
