:faint: I'm so not surprised that a thread that began as innocent and supportive of one person has yet again turned ugly. And just think.. she wasn't even here to be a part of it or take the blame. Imagine...

The one thing I can say about Delarla. She definitely has 'broke bad' a few times, but I have never yet failed to see her come back and admit where she wrong and that she had indeed taken part in crazy-making. I think that takes a much more honest person than someone who feigns innocence even when the evidence is there to prove otherwise.

One has to wonder why anyone who'd had such a bad experience with this person would even want to contribute to the originally supportive thread for her, other than to interfere with the support??:)

:focus:

:amen:

I couldn't agree more!!!

I miss her posts as well. I pretty much stay to myself here, but I always looked forward to reading what she had to say. It is not the same w/out her, I definately don't spend much time lurking anymore.....

I don't like avocado, sorry.

But, how about Italian nachos?

Tortilla chip covered with Monterrey jack cheese, with a slice of pepperoni and a Jalapeno slice... put under the broiler until the pepperoni gets that crispy edge!

Ah food. You can always rely on food to cover up the issues in our lives. To sooth the frustrations, calm the tension, restore peace, and make us all feel good once again. Mmmm.. turn on that broiler Paul, bring on the cheese Nana. This thread needs lots and lots of cheese!

photonut, it also needs wine and onions....not sure why but I am eating onions on everything lately. I actually made homemade onion Soup 2 night ago and it is all gone. Last night I made 7 bean soup and had some fresh onion slices with it, it would have been perfect with a huge piece of corn bead but I had some southwest croutons and a 14 oz bowl of soup. I have 6 more portions in the freezer for the next couple of weeks. I am the omly one in my family that likes it so it's all mine......bwahahahah ~Mandy

Hey, Paul do you even make pepperoni chips? Someone on here puts them in the microwave until they are crisp and then eats them instead of chips. I don't eat pok of anykind and the turkey and beef pepperoni dosn't work the same way. I know that it's a popular snack with Atkins dieters. ~Mandy

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
