That's what is referred to as the "slimes". I know it sounds gross and it is gross. Are you taking a PPI like prilosec?

This happens when you are not able to tolerate certain foods, and it is your body's way of eliminating the food from your stomach. Completely normal, but if you don't want this to happen, eat slower, smaller amounts, chewed very well.

And if not already, talk to your doctor about a PPI to reduce acid.

I do tak a PPI every morning but my food gets stuck in my esophagus. I called doc nd nurse told me they repaired a hernia and sometimes that happens. I cant eat, really. I eat just a bit and food gets stuck nd i have to stop. So for mothers day i had fish nd spinash and it felt good in my stomach. I took leftovers for work nd ive been trowing up all day. Its just what u said cause thats what it looks like but i really take my time eating. I dont know, im really tired of this. My surgeon is like 28 hrs away but im gonna have to take the trip.

Have you called your surgeon? If you don't mind me asking, where was it done? Do shakes and liquids go down ok?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
