I wish i could help more in that department but i have never been a smoker. Have you tried the Patches, there is also a pill (not sure of the name) that helps ween you off. Try this: throw out whatever packs you have and dont buy anymore. I would hate for you to have complications with surgery because of your habit. You have a decision to make, whats more important: the length of your life or a cigarette. If you can answer that question then you can quit smoking. Tap into that will power that you have and fight for your health. Its not going to be easy but anything truly worth fighting for never is. I hope things work out for you.

Yes, I really wait the surgery . It hard to stop smoking after 34 years. I don't understand it seems that if some people have a hard time with things it always comes down to do you really want to have weight loss surgery. Everyone in life has different things to deaL with. We need to support others no matter their faults or issues.

I never implied that and what i originally said i deleted because i wasn't trying to judge you. All im saying is sometimes people arent ready that is all. I dont see how you read my post and thought i wasnt trying to support and uplift you. From what i say i was trying to offer you advice on quitting even though i have never been a smoker.

I'm sorry I took it the wrong way. Everything else is going good. I lost the weight I needed to, got all my meds in chewable. All my papers for work and ins are done. It's just this darn smoking I can't seem to kick. I'm going to try on my weekend really hard . I wrote a list of this I need to get done . Again I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
