sdb1147 54 Posted May 13, 2012 Congratulations on your surgery date, and good luck & God speed. I'm getting a little closer to my date in as much as I have my initial meeting with the surgeon on May 17. Good move on purchasing some of your post-op food now so you can give 'em a try . chitowngirl 886 Posted May 13, 2012 Congrats. I know it feels like forever, but before you know it may 31 will be here. I would suggest practacing with the slow eating, the whole chewing 30 times takes some getting used to. 1 Mela reacted to this
mome2mad 19 Posted May 13, 2012 Thank you for the advice! My doctor did not put me on any special diet. As a matter of fact he told me to eat everything I love before my surgery haha! I have been doing just that! I told my husband today that I was going to back off and start testing out some of the Protein Shakes I've bought. I am trying very hard to not let the waiting consume me!

Lissa 2,631 Posted May 13, 2012 Obsess away! You're going to love the new you! It will be so great to be able to walk easier, to feel lighter, and to be able to do what you want to do instead of worrying about whether you'll "fit" somewhere.
mome2mad 19 Posted May 13, 2012 Thank you all for the encouragement! It is so nice to be able to talk to people who know exactly what you are going through!
Mela 6 Posted May 13, 2012 Just remember this is a tool to help you get to where you want to be. Don't overindulge on unhealthy foods before your surgery. Practice better eating habits and choices so it won't be such a big deal months later. I had surgery last week and I'm just as excited to see my transformation!! Good luck and your date will be here before you know it.

Sleeved&Hopeful 182 Posted May 14, 2012 Oh I was the same way! I thought I was going to drive my husband crazy talking about it constantly before the surgery! I even brought my phone to check for updates on threads on the forums almost everywhere I went. I was wayyy too obsessed. It's sooo close! you don't have to wait much longer..Best wishes! 1 mome2mad reacted to this
