Lauranbob Mc 94 Posted May 12, 2012 your stomach is going to be doing a lot of gurgeling and producing a lot of gas at first. lots of burping... this helpsin the first few weeks. surgical gas from the OR is totally different
Bubbaloo10 55 Posted May 12, 2012 The Gas-x strips might give you a little relief, but the best thing for surgical gas is to get up and walk as much as you can. I had about two bouts with surgical gas on surgery day, and the pain went away almost immediately each time. Can't recall any problems with gas after that. MyGastricSleeveLife 180 Posted May 12, 2012 I think sometimes people don't understand the difference between surgical gas and intestinal/stomach gas. I know for a while I didn't understand that it would be surgical gas inside my system.
PEvette 297 Posted May 12, 2012 I've had experience with the surgical gas before with 2 previous procedures....walking is really the only way to get rid of surgical gas....I'm assuming the Gas-x is for an upset stomach maybe...I plan to buy some to have at home just incase.... NJsharon 119 Posted May 12, 2012 I didn't have any gas pains, so didn't need them. But my Dr said it can help with gas pains after surgery.

Mab 44 Posted May 12, 2012 I take them after each meal and after I swallow any pills. Also, they make my breath smell deeee-lightful.

~Sea 1 Posted May 13, 2012 I use the gas x strips daily cinnamon and they worked from the very first day of surgery. I find that the strips work immediately. Hope this helps!!
