Kristen1031 1 Posted May 12, 2012 So I have a surgery date set for August 1st, 2012. I am worried about how difficult it will be to obtain insurance after my surgery. I will be getting my own insurance in about 3 years. Anyone experience a rough time? 1 kimmyiet reacted to this
5DoxieMom 87 Posted May 12, 2012 Good question. My insurance has a WLS exclusion and won't ever cover anything related to it. So if I need my gallbladder out later, they won't pay. But, I haven't told my PCP yet, so it not in my record yet. I'm thinking about never saying anything...
MeMeMEEE 206 Posted May 12, 2012 If you plan to get it through an employer, you are automatically eligible. And I believe if you are in the US, the Affordable Care Act will be doing away with "pre-existing" somewhere in the future as well. 1 Kristen1031 reacted to this
notime 340 Posted May 12, 2012 That part of the Affordable Care Act kicks in 2014. If the Supreme Court comes through, you will be golden. 1 Kristen1031 reacted to this
