karey and Mimni: You all look FANTASTIC!!! You are definitely inspirations! Wow. Congrats karey on having such a beautiful little girl in your life!

I am up a pound. Dang. Going in the wrong direction. I'm not giving up hope nor am I hopeless. Just a blip (or is it blimp :) ) in the road.

BJean: I upped my calories by 200 and decreased my exercise and I lost weight this week. Go figure! Maybe it's time to see your nutrionist?

karey: I've had that happen to me too. I think that sometimes we just need a change of some sort to get us off high center.

I am definitely overdue for a nutritionist meeting. Hope to get in a visit with her sometime later this week!

Mim, great picture! That guy looks for real! We're going to a balloon jubilee this weekend (hot air balloon races), and I'm hoping to add "rode a hot air balloon" to my list of life experiences.

Karey, darn glad to see you! And lifelongband, too (although those avatar pics are sooo little. I wish LBT had better photo storage capabilities.

April, thanks for the slip info. Over on OH, it seems like every week there's someone else with pouch dilation or a band slip, and even people with lots of band experience under their belt. They all seem to agree that being too tight is often the start of their problems. But, dang, how do you know when you're too tight? One day I can be loose as a goose, and the next day I'm so tight I get stuck on everything. I'm tighter after exercising, too. It's weird and unpredictable.

OK, so I seriously don't know how I pulled this off, but I'm down 4 lbs. this week. I actually had my first true binge one day last week. I won't tell you what I ate, 'cause I don't want the responsibility of triggering anyone else to binge, but let's just say I lacked prudent control. So I don't know how I managed to have a good drop, except that I just finished my TOM. Whatever. I'll take it!

The bull ride was liquid bravery! I am not a big drinker but when I get with my friends my college days are re-lived. I am awaiting the psuedo-coyote ugly pictures to surface although I am hoping Todd was as drunk as I and forgets! I haven't seen them and I don't want to but I have foggy memories of dancing on a bar....

I have a fill scheduled for tomorrow, I wanted to wait until this past weekend was over before doing it. Now I'm questioning whether I should go through with it. I don't have much restriction at all, I can eat (and drink) quite a bit and seldome feel full... however I've still been losing slowly. *sigh*

Quick note here for my weigh in...down 1 pound to 181. Don't know how I did it; no exercise, carnival food and a night out w/the girls=liquid calories. But I did get a phone number and a few *smiles* from some cute guys! Must get back in the groove...

It has been a little while since I have had a fill and I almost forgot what it was like. I had a very small 'tweek' of .1cc, I just wanted a little help and well that may have been too much. I've pb'ed on my pills, I'm gurgling Water but it does go down. I am working on a protien drink right now but it's super slow tiny sips. I don't like this feeling at all!

For those of you that have had unfills, how long did you wait? In the past after a fill I've waited a week or two and it has eased up but I want to go back in today, I don't like this at all!

Minin: I'd give yourself a couple more days and stay on liquids for another day and then go to mushies. You might have some swelling that will go away. Of course if you can't stand it then I'd go in, but they may have trouble getting out just the 1 cc. It's terrible to PB. I had a fill last week and had a pill get stuck too. I find that the tightness of band varies day to day. Good luck!

It is a little better today, I cut my pills into weee tiny pieces and nothing got stuck this time but I still feel the gurggling, I haven't had this in a LONG time and I have no idea how I put up with it before. I hope it eases up by tomorrow, Jamie and I are heading to NYC for the holiday weekend and I want to enjoy my dinner at the Rainbow Room!

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness.
