September Bandsters

You know I was thinking it could have been a piece of the egg in the egg drop Soup but then again I seem to have the worst slime episodes on plain old Protein Drinks or milk. I swear I sometimes slime more than I actually drank.

I still don't understand it but it is the WORST PB episode I have ever had! Not to mention disgusting. And to top everything off this week I have been extremely careful about what I ate, actually managed to exercise and I gain .8 lbs. I am never weighing on those scales again. Katt

Sorry, I haven't posted any results for this week. Everyone was slow in giving their results and then I went out of town again. How about I post this week with next Monday's results? I will and be better. Maybe I shouldn't have volunteered for this, but I really want to see this group keep going. I think its so helpful. Diane thanks for all the good information. I'm going to check out the websites. Maybe it's good that our goals change. I would have found it too overwhelming to think about the final goal right off the bat. I'm doing better with shorter, smaller goals. It just seems more doable. Right now, I just want to lose 5 pounds!

Me too, karey!! I would be dancing all over the house if I lost five pounds! :whoo:

Lisa I hope your friend gets her GERD under control. Having it that bad can do a lot of damage over the years.

And karey you're doing just fine as far as I'm concerned with the posting. :)

Diane....I am green with envy. I haven't been under 170 pounds since I was like 21!

For some reason I am struggling with fatty food cravings this week even though I am pretty restricted. I did make myself get out and exercise despite the heat. I am eating everything wrong...and I know better. I have managed to make it through two chocolate free days though.....I've said on this thread before how every office I am near at work is stocked with the evil stuff. If I eat one bite that's all I eat for the day.....so I decided to completely abstain if at all possible. That doesn't explain the pint of HagenDas I absentmindedly ate last night at midnight (but it was lowfat....?) I just hate myself....yech!

Sharon, I am in Temple......are you nearby? Welcome to our thread and congrats on your up and coming band! While it may sound like I am complaining we all have our up and down days. I wouldn't trade my band for anything. I hope you are as pleased with your journey as most of us have been here. It's a new and wonderful world!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
