How much are you eating at a time and how many calories? I can do 1/2 a cup and an hour or so later a lil more I am getting in around 1000 daily. I eat fast was a band to sleeve. Also I hav been drinking some at meal time. I need to stop that. Just curious as to how you all are doing.

I was sleeved on 3/29. I can only eat about 2 ounces at a time. Im struggling to get in 400 calories. I just dont have an appetite and get full so easy. I actually hate food now and just dont like eating. Its weird. I am down 48 lbs.

Really depends on what I'm eating. On average, looking at volume, I'm probably around 1/4 C average. 1/2 C is still a stretch, but I've probably done it a few times.

Compared to you two I am really over doing it. I am losing though. Only 20 lbs, but I did start at 163 and am now 143. I need to really cut back but was told 1000 was good from my doc. Below that I was struggling up lose any. Once I increased my calories I started losing.

Hi I was sleeved March 12th and am averaging about 400-700 calories a day. On average I am lucky if I can get in 2 oz of dense food like tuna or chicken but can now eat a whole container of greek yogurt. Protien drinks were making me vomit so I eat a Protein Bar with 30grams of Protein in it for a meal and that takes me almost an hour. I never thought I would say this but eating has become a chore and no longer enjoyable. Who would have thought lol! I am still struggling to get in all my fluids and average about 32 oz a day. I have lost 44lbs since surgery.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
