I'm a big poster on cytomax, which is now cytosport's whey Protein isolate drinks in tropical and tangerine. I get them from Vitamin Shoppe... they are 3.79 each but it's about 20 ozs of 40 g of Protein in a bottle. I say "about" because they just redid the bottles (they have wrappers in black with big white writing of "WHEY ISOLATE" on them). You can buy them at Vitamin Shoppe as singles (in the refrigerated section). Buy one and see if you like them. If you don't, save your receipt because you can take it back (I think it's 30 days from date of purchase, but look on the back of the receipt to be sure).

Otherwise, like everyone is suggesting - SF popsicles, SF Jello, clear broths. powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury makes a good chicken Soup but careful on the temperature or it'll clump (they post it on their site, not over I think 160 degrees so get your meat thermometers out and test the Water before adding to the packet). GOOD LUCK!

On my clear diet it was only stuff you can drink from a straw. See through broths, sf Jello, crystal light, Water and that's about it. Not even Protein Shakes. Now full liquid was with yogurt, sf pudding, cream Soup, creamed potatoes, cream of wheat. Got a week and a half left of that... Been a long month lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
