Joyfulone1 6 Posted May 11, 2012 I am 4 months out and have lost 50 lbs!!!! I had been on birth control pills for several years but had to stop before surgery. I have not started taking them again because I'm afraid they will interfere with my weight loss progress. I also have PCOS (Poly-cystic ovarian syndrome). Please let me know what your experience has been. Thanks in advance!!!
chitowngirl 886 Posted May 11, 2012 I also have pcos, and I was specifically instructed to continue with my birth control pills, as it is much easier to get pregnant once we start loosing weight. I also feel like the birth control also keeps my hormones in check, which I need, it also curbs all the facial hair.< /p>
ShapeShifter 64 Posted May 11, 2012 I have PCOS, but I'm pre-op. I've been on depoprovera for a few years, and I love it. No period, and no mood swings. I can't say that it causes weight gain, because I've been around this weight since diagnosis in my early 20s... long before depo.
