brown-eyegirl10 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Hi, I am new to the website, but not to the band. I was banded December of 2004 and have went from a size 28 (sw-340lbs) to a size 22 (cw-275lbs). My height is "5'11".....I have such a long way to go, but I still look forward to the ride. I set short term goals for myself, but I am not sure of what I should weigh for my height requirement....and even my short term goals are taking longer to get to....Any suggestions? Please help:) Thanks, Brown-eye girl
wheeler 0 Posted August 18, 2006 There are lots of calculators on the internet to find out what your weight should be, but dont be too rigid about it some of them are way too crazy and suggest a weight that is just nor reasonable. I had a quick look and this one is just the ave. it gives you several options. As far as being a slow looser, well dont worry for some of us it just takes longer. Plus I think that we all loose reasonably fast in the first 12-18 months and then things really slow down. I am seriously thinking of going on a low carb diet, nothing drastic, just cut out potatoes, rice and Pasta, and still have plenty of other vegetables and fruit. Anyway here is that link, but if it doesnt suit you, I am sure you'll be able to find others on the net. You've done well so far, good luck http://www.halls.md/ideal-weight/body.htm
sunsett 2 Posted August 18, 2006 Thanks Wheeler for that website! Brown-eye girl-When I go on the scale more that once every other week I mess up. I don't know how oftern you go on, but perhaps you want to just take that NUMBER as a grain of salt and not worry about the # so much. You are doing fantastic by the way. brown-eyegirl10 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Wheeler thanks for the info.....It is so hard to give carbs totally up for me, but I definitely know it would help me as well. How long have you been a bandster? Are you dieting at this time and if so, what type of diet is it?
