irishmama2004 34 Posted May 10, 2012 So I was rocking and rolling the last two-three weeks basically forcing myself onto a pre-op diet to lose the weight that I really should have been losing during my 6 month visits with my PCP. I am really only down 11 from October and therefore 11 in surgeon's eyes. I was told I had to get to 16 to get to goal. (My ticker reflects my totally from my highest). Now, on Monday I weighed in and treated myself to BBQ sandwich and sides. Yum. And knew I would wake up Tuesday a pound heavier and be able to kill it the rest of the week Well, I was 1.5 pounds heavier and and sticking to an 800 cal a day diet where most days I burn at least 500 calls of that. I am still up from Monday. What gives? He will cancel my surgery if I am not down. I think I am in starvation mode and my body is hanging onto this fat for dear life. Grrrr. kyllfalcon 768 Posted May 10, 2012 Are you talking about Monday and Tuesday of THIS week? I wouldn't consider two or three days of no loss a stall at all. I'm sleeved, 8 weeks out. Some days I lose a few ounces, every now and then I lose a pound overnight but not often, and sometimes there is no loss for several days. I'll bet almost everyone experiences something similar. Seems to be just the way it works.
