Ssilian 67 Posted May 10, 2012 I just got the word that my insurance approved my surgery for June 14. After 12 long months of mandatory counseling, I couldn't wait to hear this news. Then 15 minutes later, my stomach started doing flips because reality just set in. I'm petrified now! I wanted this so bad and I am probably feeling what other people have felt but reading about it for the last 6 months still doesn't make the way I feel any less real! Maybe it's the finality of it all -- knowing that they can't put my stomach back once it's done. Gosh I feel like a fool -- I should be jumping for joy! 1 beautifulnewme2012 reacted to this
iwannabslim 67 Posted May 10, 2012 Don't feel like a fool. I felt/feel the same way, and I don't even have a date yet. I think it is perfectly normal to have some trepidation. This is a major change. We will come through this and wonder what we were so worried about. Good luck to you!

LittleC 1 Posted May 10, 2012 Although I've been reading many forum posts this is my first post. Didn't join until I received a surgery date. Somehow getting the date turned this into reality which is very exciting. I know exactly what you are feeling right now and very happy for you. You're on your way.
