August Sleevers?! Where Ya's At?

I will be sleeved tomorrow. My stomach just dropped a little. I am trying to stay busy cleaning house. My tummy has been upset due to nerves.

Exited about my surgery aug 8th @ 730 am but I still haven't packed I have no idea what to take...any suggestions

I have heard the following :

chapstick,

comfy clothes for the ride home (nothing tight)

Pillow for your belly

flip flops

gas x strips (i would check with surgeon)

phone charger for your cell

facewash

these are just the things I remember. I am going to try NOT to overpack as it is in my nature to pack for 10 days even if it is for only 2 LOL

Thanks Daddy! I already know I am going to the best doc for me. I knew he was the one before I even met him at a seminar. Just a strong gut feeling. I am super excited.

Again I wish any and all the best of luck tomorrow. I will be sure to update when I am able and can think straight.

I just want to wish US ALL who are having surgery tomorrow the best of luck. I know we are all going to do just fine. Someone better build a bigger loser's bench for this huge day of surgeries. See everyone on the other side!!

How the heck am I suppose to sleep tonight? Have to check in by 6am! It's only 8:45 on Sunday night and my head is racing a million miles a minute. Looking forward to being on the "other side" and in recovery.

hey everyone! I'm having a GREAT time in myrtle beach!!! Despite feeling like a whale, I went on the beach today. Because mom wanted to! I got burnt to a crisp! Seriously!!! Then went shopping again . I have appt's tomorrow. I have to see the nutritionist, family doctor, and pay the rest of my balance. I guess the ball is really rolling!!! sorry I haven't kept up on the list, I'll try to get to it tonight

Well I went and took a hot shower last night before bed. It really soothed the body out. Crawled in bed around 11 and had the alarm set for 530. I wanted time to get things packed back up, straighten/freshen up, and do what I needed on the computer and still be ready by 7:15 for when Rosy comes to pick us up.

I have to say I tossed quite a bit last nite. I even ended up on my tummy a few times which is odd. My tummy must know it will be awhile before it can do that. I remember seeing the clock a few times during the night, but I feel rested. I actually woke up at 5:10 and decided wth. So I got up, dressed, and trying to be somewhat quiet since Hubby is still sleeping.< /p>

I am anxious about today, ready to get this started. What does have me nervous is the pulling of some teeth tomorrow. Now that scares the crap out of me. LOL. But I know everything will go fine. Today I will take my first seat on the loser's bench forever. I asked that my name be permanently engraved there. No more wiping it off from regaining weight. Today I am making my walk to the Loser's side with my head held high!

Best of luck to everyone who is also joining me on this day! May our surgeries fly by and our recoveries the easiest thing we've ever done. Everyone will be in my thoughts today.

August 27th my sleeve is being done so excited yet so nervous start Optifast 8/13.

From 4-6:30 am, I woke up every 30 min....I guess I am anxious about this morning. I am ready and just need to pack my toothbrush and I'm off to the hospital. Check back in later....
