Everyone is different . I could have gone on a trip 4 days after surgery, easily. I went back to work on Monday after having surgery on the Wed. before. I guess that was 5 days after surgery. You don't know how you're going to feel though.

There are plenty of people who say 2 weeks after surgery, they still felt really lousy. If you can reschedule your surgery for after the trip, it's probably the way to go.

update. My surgery is scheduled for this thursday 5-17. I will be going to 1 week post on 5-24 and traveling to florida on 5-25. Nurse at surgeon's office said this would be fine. I will only be riding and stopping to walk. We have rented a condo so I will just be lying on beach and chilling in condo, except for going to the graduation which is the reason for the trip. wish me luck!!!!!
