4mydogs 10 Posted May 8, 2012 I'm leaving for the hospital in 10 minutes. My surgery is scheduled for 5:30 am. I'm ready to start healing and look forward to something besides a liquid diet in a few weeks. Kris

thewinds 7 Posted May 8, 2012 Good luck I am sure you'll do great and enjoy your morphin pump I know I did.. I sleep great that first night next was good two but you know... Also I worried about liquid after surgery but honestly i was so un interested mentally in eating it didn't bother me. Nothing really has. Just drink your Protein and try the unjury chicken Soup if your hospital has it, I ordered that for every meal while in I could stand even the sweetness of sugar free stuff, I drank my Soup and ate ice all day. Congrats it is the best hospital stay aide from becoming a new mom
4mydogs 10 Posted May 11, 2012 Thanks for all the good wishes. Things went well and I am home. I didn't expect to be this sore. I'm on my first day of liquids and can't get enough in.

Artsy 48 Posted May 11, 2012 4mydogs, Wishing you the best in recovery. I'm right there with you in the recovery process. I have felt a little sore. My biggest problem has been gas; but praise the good Lord I had no gas issues during the last night--so I'm seeing little improvements each day. Right before I went into surgery,I asked my doc about Protein this week--both he & the NUT said not to worry about it this week. Please keep posting your recovery & I'll post mine.
