dymondeyedchic 3 Posted May 8, 2012 After almost of research. I finally booked my surgery with Dr. Almanza on June 6th. I am very excited to be starting a new chapter in my life. I have been overweight my entire life.. And I am so grateful to God for him giving me this opportunity! I want to send my prayers to all of you, I ask that He bless you in your Quest to obtain that ultimate goal! If anyone has any advice or words of wisdom. Know they are welcome. I just feel so blessed to share this with my community. I have an overweight 10 year old daughter, who I am seeing deal with the same issues I dealt with as a child. I fugure that if I can can on track with the tool of the sleeve, I can help her. Because I coulnt help her until I helped myself! I praise God for all of your stories! 1 MGM reacted to this

diamondeyedchic 0 Posted May 14, 2012 Thanks, Again I am so excited..I am trying to get everything planned. What to take is the most important thing I am trying to figure out! I hear about Gas X, heating pad, loose comfortable clothes, gauze, anti-bacteial wash among other things. I am just going to come outand be direct, I need someone who knows to answer. I have been married 15 years, and my youngest child is 6. So I have not had a sex restriction in 6 years. Is anyone familar to if there may be a sex restriction after the sleeve? #therearenostupidquestions
bogeydog 30 Posted May 14, 2012 I am so glad someone asked that. I don't know the answer, but I have wondered the same thing. I assumed it would be the same as for a csection -- 6 weeks. Anyone know? 1 diamondeyedchic reacted to this
Melissa D 34 Posted May 14, 2012 I believe the correct answer is "whenever you feel like it" lol. I'll let you know how long that is when I get back from surgery next week
MGM 140 Posted May 14, 2012 That is one of the questions I asked my dr. I haven't been sleeved yet either...but my doctor said 2 weeks. I thought it would have been longer...but it's not food! Lol... So maybe he told me right?
diamondeyedchic 0 Posted May 14, 2012 MGM and bogeydog, thanks 2 weeks sounds okay.......I guess that question is more important to me than what I need to pack at this point! LOL.....just wandering...It seems the incision might cause some discomfort, but I will ask, best to believe it!
