Jill279 65 Posted May 8, 2012 I'm one week post op today and I am so tiered. Even when i get all my nutrients...anyone else feel this way? When in the heck is it going to go a way!
NancyJerry 139 Posted May 8, 2012 I was too, at that point. Give your body time to adjust and heal - it's been through A LOT in the past week. You'll feel stronger soon! Keep walking, drinking, getting your Protein in. You've got this!
Joni 94 Posted May 8, 2012 I agree with Nancy. You have had MAJOR surgery. Don't worry. Go at your own pace and follow dr orders. You'll be just fine. 1 NancyJerry reacted to this
ChaChaBurch 60 Posted May 8, 2012 That's perfectly normal! Not only have you gone through MAJOR surgery, you have several weeks ahead of being tired, low energy, and practically no stamina. It's all normal -- from the surgery, to the MUCH lower calories that you're taking in. Just really focus on Protein and hydration. Being dehydrated can cause your body to feel really tired too. I would suggest that if you don't see any sort of an increase over the next couple of days, call your doctor. They may need to give you an IV of fluids. 1 Lissa reacted to this
