A Little Nervous Energy...

Recommended Posts

Now that I am getting closer to submit for insurance approval it has dawned on me that there is a good chance I could actually get denied. Up until now I've been assuming I would be approved and now today it hit me like a brick, that there is the chance I get denied - nothing is guaranteed no matter what the office coordinator may "think".

I guess its normal and just nerves. The ulcers have pushed my date out twice already and I go Thursday for *fingers crossed* my last endoscopy. After that, all me pre requirements have been met. I'm nervous and I hate this feeling !!!!

Ughhhhhh - but thank you for letting me vent

Yep there is a chance but you have already had set backs and are over coming those. I didnt have to have insurance approval but I believe that their is a repeals process if you are denied so it isnt a final no. Just hang on and hope for the best. I'll say a little prayer for your nerves.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
