I find that I get muscle fatigue rather quickly. For me, I think it's a combination of low Iron and too few calories. I push myself in spite of the fatigue and I've found that has helped me raise the bar of what I can make myself do. But I get what you are saying!

Are you eating and drinking ENOUGH? The only time I hit a low energy spell is if I'm slacking on my diet..or I miss my B12, but you have that one covered! :)

I have in week 14 and am having a hard time with energy the last week or so. I'm also having a hard time getting my Protein, calories, and fluids in. I'm quite sure the low energy came before the slacking food/fluids. I'm working hard to get it back up there, but I am NEVER hungry and where I used to be able to eat "normal" 2-3oz of food, I now fill up on 2 spoonfuls. Even Protein Shakes make me feel extremely full barely 1/4 through them. I know I should be getting more with my activity level, but barely hit 400-450 calories a day. All my levels came back normal and I take my multi, B12, etc. every day...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
