kelliv 659 Posted May 15, 2013 Oh - I hit the 6th month post op mark a week ago. Start weight 137.7 kgs Current weight 94.7 kgs Lost 43 kgs My goal weight is 82kgs' date=' which is the top of my healthy weight range. The weight loss has slowed down considerably, but I'm happy just chipping away at it. To be honest I've come this far, if I have a week where I lose .5kg I'm happy. Keep smiling, Deano[/quote'] Hi Dean, we assumed the job took precedence on Monday so don't worry. Congrats on your fantastic results. Can't wait to see you although I am not sure I will recognize you now!
mistysj 1,940 Posted May 15, 2013 No I'm going home in the morning so I should be right. I might just ask for an up and go or some milk for brekkie. I have lots of suitable things at home. 1 lessismore67 reacted to this

It's good you only needed two nights and no drains by the sound of it. You will sleep better in your own bed too.

one_elle26 118 Posted May 15, 2013 Congratulations Misty, seems like you all over this 'sleeve stuff '. Dean, amazing results !!!!!! I hope you're enjoying the new job. It's great to hear from you. Thanks everyone for your kind words. My first 'solid food' today was a Protein Bar and it took me two attempts to eat it and I'm still not hungry. Such a different feeling to when I was on liquids and hungry all the time. Maybe I'll have time tomorrow to try a poached egg for Breakfast, don't think I can live on Protein Bars for the rest of my life. I hope everyone is well. mistysj 1,940 Posted May 16, 2013 Good luck Brendan! I'm home. Did the dishes and went for a walk for 15 minutes. Now resting and having Water with cordial. I feel fine. I found out today that the surgeon repaired my hernia at the same time as the sleeve.
brendani 69 Posted May 16, 2013 You're killing this Misty! Just finished with Dr Nolan. Ordered a blood test and gastroscopy (being thorough). Tentatively booked for July 5. Feeling a little apprehensive again but really can't wait to get this underway. Decision is made now.

Michele Good to hear you're doing so well Michele. Job is great - I'm on a pretty steep technology learning curve! Early on poached eggs didn't do it for me. Something about the texture of the white, they're fine now. At that early stage I'd gently scramble one egg so it wasn't dry and fine grate a bit of fresh parmesan for salt / flavour. Off to my first appt with Dr Nolan at Southport today. Wish me luck! Thanks mate. Everybody wishes everybody luck (I do it too) but the reality is once you have this tool there is no luck. There's some hard work (a reasonable amount) and staying focused - but no luck required! As far as being an inspiration goes, if your numbers are similar to mine and looking at my results makes you know that this is really achievable - I think that's great. All the best, Deano
