kelliv 659 Posted January 2, 2013 Any Brisbane sleevers available to meet for a coffee or lunch maybe this Friday? If so where and when? We met last time at Melange Cafe in Roma St Parklands. Happy to do so again if this suits everyone else. Cheers Kelli

What about either Mediterranean at Cafe Mondial in Albert St OR perhaps somewhere that serves yum cha or sushi? You choose...
Lissa_S 787 Posted January 3, 2013 Ugh had a rough day yesterday Had my first puke in quite a while despite the fact I only had 4 crackers and a piece of toast all day. Still feeling a bit yuck today but am definitely less sick. Blaming it on the heat - still having trouble balancing the need for fluids with getting in enough food which makes me sick cause I am not eating enough...hope I work this out soon!!! 1 jules58 reacted to this
one_elle26 118 Posted January 3, 2013 Deano, you mentioned that you wanted to buy a Vitamix , I did a bit of research and there is a website at : www.kitchenwaredirect.com.au and they have the Vitamix for $899.00. They also have the Thermochef, which seems to do everything that the Vitamix does and more including the added advantage of having a heating element as well and it is only $699.00. I also looked at the TVSN.com.au site, mentioned by another member here, and they have the Thermochef with two different additional 'bundle'offers (valued at approx. $100.00) also for $699. I also checked 'Choice' and the Thermochef got a reasonable write up, except that since it is a copy of the much more expensive Thermomix, it does take a little while to get used to using it but the significant difference in price might make up for the extra time required to work out how to use it. There are videos of how the Thermomix works on their Website. I am also interested in buying one of these products so I thought I would pass on what I discovered. With the Thermomix and the Thermochef, you put the whole fruit into the machine and it makes the juice for you. So, you get all of the fibre from the fruit, which is what you are looking for I believe? I hope this helps. one_elle26 1 *Dean* reacted to this

Hi Lila, that's not good. You were having a pretty good run, finally. With the heat, are you able to drink? Can you make yourself some Protein shakes using Protein powder with some sort of liquid like skim milk or fruit juice? I hope that you are feeling much better today. I've had a look at all those web sites. I think I'm leaning toward to Vitamix. I'm in negotiation with the Minister for Finance. At the moment it's looking like the end of January after school fees are paid Thanks again, Deano 2 *Shell* and one_elle26 reacted to this
