aussie kelloff 79 Posted December 3, 2012 37kg in 4 months? That's bloody outstanding! Well done you:-) all my bloods came back good too do no idea what's causing my issues' date=' but they are subsiding so thats a good sign. Lila, I am so pleased that you now seem to be almost fully recovered, eating like the rest of us that had surgery around the same time. You had us worried there for a while but your amazing spirit and strength pulled you through. You are an inspiration:-)[/quote'] Thanks kayargh, I am very happy with my loss. I hope they find out whats causing your issues or they go away completely.
Swift Kate 72 Posted December 3, 2012 Aussie kelloff, your loss is amazing. My surgeon hasn't given me a goal weight but I'm thinking about 70 kgs would be great at this stage. I'm currently 105kgs so your loss would suit me just right lol. I got to low 70's about five years ago and was so happy, had so much energy and felt so confident. I'm 170 cms tall so 70 kgs would stil put me into the higher end of my healthy weight range. I start my Optifast four weeks from tomorrow and my surgery is six weeks from tomorrow. My partner will be away for January and February next year so unfortunately won't have his hands on support during that time. Although that said when I found out about his trip I decided that I was doing to have the ops done while he was away. I already have holidays and it'll keep me busy and give me something to focus on. He should be back when I'm about 6 weeks out so hopefully I will be right on track by then. Roll on January. nge 1 aussie kelloff reacted to this

I did Dr. Cohen's diet while I was in Alice 3 years ago and the program goal weight for me was 56-58Kg I am 157cm.My surgeon now thinks that is too low for me and has set goal between 60-63Kg and today I am 93Kg. Swift Kate 72 Posted December 3, 2012 I agree kalimomof3, I have lost weight many times by many different ways but I have never been able to maintain it. It is hard to believe that I will be off the weight merry-go-round in January. 1 Kalimomof3 reacted to this
Kayargh 112 Posted December 4, 2012 I think I need new scales...weighed in this morning at 114.3, was appalled that I could have put on over a kilo, stepped back on and weighed 112.3, then for shits and giggles thought id give it one last shot and weighed in at 112.8....can anyone recommend a good set a scales to buy? Lol.
Kayargh 112 Posted December 4, 2012 Haha...I had to step on the scales again and it came up as 114.9! I feel like yelling LIAR! at it:-) These scales have to be male
*Shell* 162 Posted December 4, 2012 Kayargh, I think it's definitely time for new scales. I brought mine for about $60 from target - weight watchers brand...can't wait to hear what your correct weight is, you might be pleasantly surprised
Lissa_S 787 Posted December 4, 2012 I just bought new scales from Harvey Norman. They are the old fashioned type of scales as the last one's I had (WW scales) never worked well after I changed the battery. Anyway, these stupid scales weighed me correctly (or at least close to the scales at work) the first time. I then moved them into the bathroom and checked today. According to them I am now 115kg. Now, I know my weight loss has been rapid, but to lose 15kg in a week? Na, not convinced So I moved them back out to the lounge and I am apparently 90kg. I even double checked that the start point was at 0 (it was). I am thinking that I have a date with the "returns" desk!! 3 Aussiegirl, *Shell* and Kayargh reacted to this
Lissa_S 787 Posted December 4, 2012 I am a little bummed at the moment. I've been having more and more trouble eating since last Saturday. I know I am drinking more due to the heat but it's getting to the point where it's uncomfortable to eat at all I'd been going so well too. Has anyone else had this? Periods where you can even feel a bit sick after eating? I don't want to push it but on the other hand, don't want to go backwards either...thanks, Lila

puppyphat 397 Posted December 4, 2012 I tell my scales that I hate it every time the number doesn't change. Maybe it will get the message and go down, maybe not. I feel the same some days Lila. My stomach is so unpredictable. Some days I survive off Water and 2 skim lattes, other days I feel like I'm constantly grazing and can't fill the void. There is no rhyme or reason for my "can't eat" days but I do know that if I have a couple in a week, I don't lose any weight. I'm in a different place to you though and I believe that my body is settling and working out where it wants to be, but I get what you're feeling.

Thanks for the recommendations....time to go shopping! Lila I hope your tummy settles for you soon. I don't think I have experienced that before so I can't advise anything. I have yet to have a vomiting episode but came close 2 nights ago....eating infront of tv, bad bad bad. Ate too much and was in so much pain I thought my tummy was going to explode. I was so close to vomiting but I couldn't bring myself to do it...took about an hour to pass. Stupid of me I know.
Lissa_S 787 Posted December 5, 2012 I've done that too Kayargh I usually need to go and have a little lie down. I haven't puked which is a good thing - it's more that I just feel a bit unwell. I suspect that it will sort itself out soon enough Thanks Puppyphat - that is just what it's like at the moment. I can drink fine, no problems. Then I eat and it either goes straight through me or I am left feeling queasy. I am just trying to get my Protein in at the moment so I don't get that weak feeling back. It's good to know others struggle with the same thing!
Lissa_S 787 Posted December 5, 2012 Puppyphat - I realised that the post sounded like I was happy you get sick lol. Not the case!! Just happy I am not the only one who gets it (means it's not the leak lol)...
Nessa1977 155 Posted December 5, 2012 93.3kg yesterday...down from 96.1kg last week. Can't believe I dropped 2.8kg in a week! I'm in a bit of shock as I think that is my biggest loss post op. Looks like I will be in the 80's by the time I see my surgeon in 3 weeks time. 35kg gone in 5 1/4 months. 2 one_elle26 and Lissa_S reacted to this
