Aussiegirl 580 Posted November 23, 2012 Lila, thanks, it can get painful but not consistently just comes in bouts. I kinda expected it to happen so not so surprised by it. My body took a huge hit over the last year...the hair failling out and now gallstones are just kinda part of the process. Besides you can barely see my original incisions now, so will need some new scars (*joke*) Mimz, hope it all went well for you today. 2 Lissa_S and Weightforit reacted to this
aussie kelloff 79 Posted November 23, 2012 Lila' date=' it is quite common. It is empty looking for food..I still get it sometimes. In other news, guess I have moved into the next phase, have been diagnosed with gallstones and will be getting my gallbladder removed the first week of Jan, could not face missing out on Christmas events Apparently gallstones are quite common with people who lost significant amounts of weight quickly, so I guess it was only a matter of time. One way to loose another 100gms or so [/quote'] At least I don't have to worry about that, I had my gall bladder out about 10 years ago. The key hole surgery for gall stone is nothing. I had mine in day surgery and was home in the afternoon. Good luck. 1 Aussiegirl reacted to this

deb1405 20 Posted November 23, 2012 Quick update. Just had my 3.5 month check with the NUT and surgeon. They said that I have lost 124% of my excess weight. They're concerned that I lost 4.5kg in one week, when I was sick. They're not at all worried about me gaining 1.5kg back since then, even though I am. So, as of today, I'm 167cm tall, 65.9kg with a bmi of 23.6. I am now 8kg away from goal. Fantastic work ! You have done so well and in only 3.5 months...this is very encouraging! Thank you for sharing this...
deb1405 20 Posted November 23, 2012 Hi ya west Aussie here sleeved 15 days ago Hi from Victoria...welcome to the forum...I'm only on day 11 post op...and so far everything is going along really well... I ate a poached egg for breaky this morn...chopped the life out of it and I think it took me around 35 minutes to eat it, but did leave a little for my dog! But it was good to taste something other than purée food..
kelliv 659 Posted November 23, 2012 Had a great night at the Qld Tourism Awards last night. A bubbles and a wine before dinner, then a little bit of yummy healthy seafood entree and fish main course but old habits die hard when it came to dessert which I ate most of, then immediately felt uncomfortable and guilty. It was a white and dark chocolate cheery bavious and it was so rich. I'm not even a big dessert eater, so I was annoyed at myself afterwards. Back to being good today, but going to a friend's for dinner tonight and I know she's been planning the menu all week. This socialising is a killer. 1 *Shell* reacted to this
Mimz 38 Posted November 23, 2012 Ok the verdict - i have to go for an endoscopy in 2 weeks because i suffer from heartburn. He wants to check that there is nothing sinister going on before the surgery, i was disappointed but when i thought about it i'm glad he is being careful. So at the moment we are still looking mid to late Feb next year pending the endoscopy is good. Thanks for all your thoughts you are all so lovely!
Kalimomof3 613 Posted November 24, 2012 Question for all of you in OZ ... I used to by these little cans of food from Coles they were blue and would have salmon with a lil bit of veg and wild rice.. Do any of you know what I am talking about and what they are called? I am looking to see if I can find them here in the US along with your yummy green seas flavored tunas I think it was something that started with a B that sounded French but idk for sure. I would appreciate any help you can give me... Ps. I just may be moving back to The Alice in 2013:)

*Dean* 1,594 Posted November 24, 2012 Guys - I'm about 17 days post op and things seem to be going really well. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes I feel a little light headed (I wouldn't go as far to say dizzy) if I stand up quickly. Do you think it's a blood pressure thing, or is it normal with the very low calorie intake? My blood pressure has always been perfect and I've never felt light headed pre surgery. Hope your all having a good weekend, I'm working Deano

My drs pack says that light headedness is normal for a little while (it also says 3 or more times a day should get checked out).
