kelliv 659 Posted November 2, 2012 Hi guy's So my recovery continues to be slow I had a bad day yesterday and was dry reaching for about 30 minutes. Yuck. And I've been coughing and sneezing a lot the last few days. And then I had some loose mince last night and was in pain for about three hours afterwards. I am freaking out. Today' date=' I still have pain but think that it is muscle rather than a leak. It has totally freaked me out though...I haven't really eaten anything today and when I do, it hurts. I think that it's anxiety that's doing it but damn, this journey is more of a head game than I thought. On the upside (sorry to be a downer today) I have lost 33 kg now. I haven't been this light for over 5 years. So the surgery worked at least Hope everyone else is going better! Cheers, Liss[/quote'] Hi Lila That's great weight loss to date, but should you be eating mince this early? Haven't you just moved from liquid to puree? The pain may mean you are not yet ready for this solid food, rather than anything sinister. Maybe you should have pureed it? If you stick to the soft food and e kind to yourself I am sure you will be fine. Whatever you do, don't stop eating altogether as you need fuel. Take it easy and I hope you have a better day today. 1 Lissa_S reacted to this
kelliv 659 Posted November 2, 2012 That's great Scotty that your home and your op was complication free. I will say I did keep you in my thoughts as what Lila went through and the self pay' date=' I didn't want to hear of another unfortunate situation where no insurance to cover it. Bet your do glad you continued on with your plan to get it done b4 your health insurance kicked in as you will be way ahead and no more waiting, as you were so determined to do this life changing op weren't you. It is the absolute best decision I have done and am so privileged to be among this group with the same goal to achieve. One thing though - last week when washing my hair, started to see hair falling out OMG - so I've been upping the Protein this week. Have a great weekend all [/quote'] Hi Shelley, I have noticed in this past week that more hair than usual is coming out when i comb it. Not handfuls but certainly more than normal and it is dry too. Hope it doesn't all fall out!! Reached a new goal as now lost 21kg since 14 August, so just under 3 months. Feel fantastic. 2 Lissa_S and Scotty75 reacted to this

I have lost 19kg since the day of surgery. I guess I must have made a mistake converting pounds to kgs. Can you notice a difference in the mirror yet? I still see fat me and even though I'm wearing smaller clothes, I can still see my huge thighs, my muffin top, my tree trunk calves and my bat wing arms. Mine feels slow but happening - averaging about 4-5 kgs a month but I couldnt be happier. I wish I was averaging that much, but it's definitely slowed from very early on and I've had a few stalls. I am probably averaging 3kg per month now and hope it keeps going at that rate until I get closer to goal.As long as t keeps going down I don't mind how long it takes. I am trying to weigh myself once a week now too.I've been traveling for my business and just sent all of last week in Airlie Beach, home for a week then in Hervey Bay for 5 nights then a week later in Port Douglas. I can't wait for things to slow down just before Christmas. 1 *Shell* reacted to this

Yu ate so tiny now at an 8-10 and should be congratulating yourself every day!
puppyphat 397 Posted November 3, 2012 Just found out that a big reason that I have no energy is not my lack of nutrition, I've got glandular fever. Was so focused on increasing Vitamins and Protein, didn't even consider that it could be un-sleeve related.

Was so focused on increasing Vitamins and Protein, didn't even consider that it could be un-sleeve related.[/quote'] Hi puppyphat - I have heard that glandular fever has been going around - hope you don't suffer too much. At least you now know that you are doing everything right as far as your nutrition goes which is always comforting. I seem to attribute everything to my sleeve! Just a general question to everyone as I am experience a strange symptom/reaction. If I am out and about and eat something and than I am active quite soon after I eat I get a running nose and then my sinuses on one side of my face to my ear become blocked - it is almost like an allergy or hay fever reaction - it is very strange and I can't really see how it is all connected although I have heard that some people sneeze after they have eaten. Anyone got any theories on this?
kelliv 659 Posted November 4, 2012 Haven't heard of that one Sue. I have a strange thing happen too. I get these gurgly burping sounds from my chest sometimes when I eat or drink. Does this happen to anyone else?
ozeedonkee 145 Posted November 4, 2012 I've heard of the sneezing/mucousy type problems on other threads... I go in on the 14th.....nervously excited!

kelliv 659 Posted November 4, 2012 Little celebration this week I am sure some of you will relate to. I haven't been able to cross my legs, as in one over the other for years. Found myself doing it in a meeting this week. Had a little grin to myself. Another small victory achieved. 1 Lissa_S reacted to this
*Shell* 162 Posted November 4, 2012 That is awesome Kelli. I too have started crossing my legs and it felt GREAT. Can't remember being able to ever do it before Funny the little things you notice which make you smile. I was sitting with hubby tonight and could feel these little knobbly bones/bumps on my wrists which I haven't felt before then I'm like what the - when did these make an appearance
