Wow! Congrats Shell! You're looking fantastic in your profile pic! And yep, after I lost my weight on the band, I was soooo thankful that my feet went down to a size 12! Still huge I know but coming from a 13/14 I was über impressed!

Wooo! Can't wait til I'm dropping kgs and cm's too!

Xo

Once again I have not been here for a while but have seen all your updates come through.

Shells, congrats those stats are great

Lila, I am so sorry to hear about your complications. I really hope all the tests come back ok and you are able to move forward with your recovery...fingers and toes crossed for you. I will be thinking of you...

Kayaragh, please don't let the negative thoughts get in your way, they will eat you away if you let them. But you do need to be sure that it is the right choice for you..and you are ready for he life changes that should be made with the sleeve.

I am so close to a year (13 days), and still loosing despite doing what seems like my worst to stay healthy while traveling, as I was/am a foodie and want to try different things while traveling. I do still exercise while I am away, it is part of my life...I feel blegh if I go more than a day or two without doing something physical.

I was near a scale for the first time in at least 2 weeks this morning and hit the 70's, well hit 79kgs which is like 71kg lost in a year...only really want to loose another 4, everything else loose icky skin.

I hope you are all doing well with your journey's.

Aussiegirl, wow congratulations on hitting the 70's!! I haven't been there since my teens! Lol and to think I used to complain that I was too heavy???? Thank you for your words of wisdom, so great to hear from you! I am definitely ready for the changes, I think as hard as it can seem sometimes the pre-op is a wonderful opportunity to get your head around liquids, Proteins and I've been practicing slow sipping lol.

Currently making an excellent chicken broth to store for when I get home. I am making lasagna, pork dishes and vege spag for when I'm away (just incase it's longer than anticipated) and trying to get the house in prize home shap for tomorrow when the Ex MIL comes to stay with my girls- that's more nerve racking than anything!!!????

Again congrats and thanks for loggin on an letting is know how you are going!????

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
