Nessa1977 155 Posted August 13, 2012 Help! I can't seem to stop snacking. It seems I'm always hungry and I'm not liking it. Just now I had a mouthful of M&M's and a chocolate biscuit just to get rid of the hunger sensation. Breakfast this morning was the above cous cous recipe that I posted, MT was coffee, lunch was tuna and cous cous and now the chocolate, biscuit and another coffee. dinner will be Ainsley Harriett's lentils dahl packet and grilled chicken thighs. unknown54678997 50 Posted August 13, 2012 How far out are you Nessa ? I get peckish if I don't keep my fluids up. I make sure I still drink two Protein Shakes and lots of Water to stop any potential snacking.
kelliv 659 Posted August 13, 2012 Did anyone use a soluable multi Vitamin? I've been told to take some to the hospital tomorrow, but the pharmacy I went to doesn't sell any. Any suggestions?
Aussiegirl 580 Posted August 13, 2012 Kelliv, not sure about the Water soluble ones, I have never seen them. I had chewable vitamins that I could chew/suck til they were gone. Did they have any chewable ones?
*Shell* 162 Posted August 13, 2012 I got liquid Multi Vitamins but was told to start when I got home from hospital.

kelliv 659 Posted August 13, 2012 Sorry, I have another question. During purée stage does the food have to have no lumps, but can be thick? We just experimented by blending some left over lasagne, but it was still quite gritty with small lumps. Also looked really gross. LOL During mushy stage can you ave soft food with lumps? unknown54678997 50 Posted August 13, 2012 I took tablets. Had to break them in half for the first 4 days but swallowed them whole from thereafter. Didn't taken them till I got home.
unknown54678997 50 Posted August 13, 2012 I'm having food with lumps. I eat baby food for 6-8mth olds. It has lumps in it. My Dr said puree is any soft food that can be chewed to a puree consistency before swallowing. I don't puree my tuna or fish. I eat cottage cheese and scrambled egg. My Dr also said I could eat deli meats (ie shaved turkey, chicken or ham). Dr said to avoid any dense foods ie Pasta, bread etc.

So you eat tuna and fish at this stage? So maybe the no lumps thing was during liquid stage as dietician said to strain food to get lumps out. I will ave to read notes again I think. Apart from shakes, what other Protein did you get dring liquid stage please?
tasha80 9 Posted August 13, 2012 Hi everyone, I'm in western Australia. I had my band out on the 31st of may and I'm getting my sleeve on the 21st of September...only 38 days to go! I'm 111kgs at the moment I got down to low 90s when I was banded but I had so many issues the weight came back on then I got sick of vomiting all the time and the pain so I had it removed. I've watched my mum, cousin and Aunty go thru the great transformation after there surgery... I can't wait. But I'm also so nervous after having one failed attempt. I'm loving reading about everyone else's journeys 1 Kayargh reacted to this

I think I will do that, as Opti should give me all I need nutritionally whilst in hospital. Thanks

Everyone on here is very supportive and full of great ideas. I am sure the time will go quickly. I am getting my sleeve tomorrow and can't wait to start. Lost 9kgs in past 6 weeks since I first saw surgeon, about 27 more to go.
