AngelaEEEE 24 Posted May 6, 2012 I love my sleeve. Went to a BBQ today and ate the tiniest bites of everything. Got full! Didn't even think about dessert. Or drinking anything. It's working! 1 fluffylibra30 reacted to this
Finding Myself 146 Posted May 6, 2012 I am so glad to read this! I am having a hard time getting my mind past only liquids. I'm scheduled June 14 and am experiencing all the usual fears about never being able to eat again!!! So happy to see your post!
AngelaEEEE 24 Posted May 6, 2012 You'll eat again! And you'll be grateful for every teeny tiny bite. Your relationship with food will change though. You will no longer stuff yourself for the fun of it or to comfort or entertain yourself ( not possible). But you will enjoy what you eat. BTW, I was hungry 2 1/2 hours after eating. Whoever heard of that??
StevieSmithtown 12 Posted May 7, 2012 Don't even give it a second thought. I'm only two weeks post op and it is already the greatest thing I've ever done!!!! I was discharged from the hospital eating puréed food and tonight I had a small bowl of hot and sour Soup. My experience is different from others because I went from liquids to pureed food in one day. But I'd live on liquids for a year if I was told to do so. The benefits of this procedure are immeasurable.
