nancylovescats 0 Posted May 6, 2012 What is/was your typical day like while on the pre-op stage? What did you drink? Did you follow a routine daily? I will be working and we actually have a fully stocked kitchen as well as a cook that cooks lunch for us everyday of the week. So temptation will be all around me and I want to be successful from the start. Any and all replies will be much appreciated. Nancy
Nicki D 33 Posted May 6, 2012 Protein drinks 60 grams Protein, greek yogurt 14 grams protein, 4 ounces fruit juice, low sodium broth, unlimited sugar free Jello, unlimited sugar free popsicles, Water, Decaf tea or coffee. I didn't like most of the greek yogurts Fage was one I could tolerate, I would add my fruit juice to the yogurt and it tasted better that way. This worked for me and I lost 15 pounds on it. Pennie 66 Posted May 6, 2012 I had 4 sugar-free carnation instant breakfasts a day (made with skim milk). I was also allowed to eat from a short list of veggies and also sugar-free Jello and broth. So I made Soup from the broth and veggies to have some variety. The first few days were the hardest. After day 4, it got a lot easier. The toughest part was still needing to cook for my family but not being allowed to eat any of it while preparing it! I've said it before and I'll say it again. In my own experience, I found the short pre-op diet to be the toughest challenge in my journey. Thankfully, it goes by quickly!
